How It Works
Expression lines form where a muscle folds the skin the same way thousands of times. Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify are forms of botulinum toxin type A. Placed in that muscle, they block the signal that tells it to contract. The muscle rests, the fold stops being pressed into the skin, and the line softens as the skin recovers over the next two weeks.
The result depends on two decisions: which muscle and how much. A brow lift comes from relaxing the muscle that pulls the brow down and leaving the one that lifts it alone. Crow's feet take a few precise points so the smile lines stay. Full expression is a dosing choice, and it is the one we make.
Dysport diffuses slightly wider and starts a day sooner, which suits the forehead and larger muscles. Botox stays close to the point, which suits detail work. Daxxify is stabilized with a peptide and holds up to 6 months for many patients.

What to Expect
Step 1
Your first visit is 15 to 30 minutes. We talk through what you notice and what you want to keep, map the injection points, and complete the Good Faith Exam that Texas requires before any injectable treatment. The $35 exam is once a year.
Step 2
Units are placed according to the map. The injections take a few minutes. You leave with small marks that fade within the hour and go back to your day. Avoid lying flat, hard exercise, and facial massage for about 4 hours.
Step 3
Movement softens from day 3 to 5 and settles by day 14. We book a two-week follow-up to assess the result, adjust if needed, and record the dose that works for you. Results hold 3 to 4 months.
