How We Treat Lips

For many patients the goal is lips that look softer and less lined, not bigger. A small amount of filler restores moisture and smooths vertical lip lines without changing your shape.
We define the border and the cupid's bow, balance the top and bottom lip, and support the corners. Volume comes last, and only as much as your face carries well.
One syringe is the usual starting point. If you want more, we add at a follow-up once the first result has settled. Filler can always be added; it is far harder to take away.
Lips are read against the chin, the nose, and the smile. Brittany plans them with the same proportional mapping we use for facial balancing, so the result fits you.
Results & Timeline
Right away. You see the new shape immediately, with some swelling on top of it. Lips look fuller than the final result for the first day or two.
24 to 48 hours. Swelling comes down. Small bruises are possible and cover easily. Ice, arnica, and sleeping slightly elevated help.
Two weeks. The filler has settled and integrated. This is the result to judge, and the point at which we add more if you want it.
6 to 12 months. Lips hold their result in this range. Many patients book a light touch-up around month nine to keep the look continuous.

Lip filler at Banyan & Bamboo is $499, which covers a syringe of hyaluronic acid filler, numbing, and the placement itself. Most first lip treatments need exactly that. If you decide you want more at your two-week check, we add a second syringe then rather than guessing on day one.
Other filler areas (cheeks, chin, jawline, under-eye) are $850 per area, or $800 each when you treat two or more areas in the same visit. Facial balancing plans bundle several areas with a single price.
New patients receive a $75 credit toward their first injectable appointment. Texas requires a one-time good faith exam ($35) once a year before injectable treatment; it is done in the same visit. All injectable treatments are performed under the medical direction of Dr. David L. Sneed, MD.
