The Science
The long-pulse Nd:YAG emits light at 1064 nm, a wavelength that hemoglobin absorbs and that reaches deeper than most vascular lasers. The pulse is long enough to heat the whole vessel wall evenly. That heat makes the vessel seal shut, and the body reabsorbs it as waste over the next few weeks.
Because 1064 nm is absorbed less by melanin in the skin, the surrounding tissue stays cooler. That is why the treatment suits a wide range of skin tones. Contact cooling on the handpiece adds another layer of protection and keeps each pulse comfortable.
The same handpiece is also a safe hair-removal option for darker skin tones. The principle is the same: reach the target while passing gently through the skin surface. Your laser team sets pulse width and energy for the vessel size and depth in front of them.

Most vessels respond within one to a few sessions, spaced several weeks apart so the body has time to clear them. Pricing by area is published at launch in October 2026.

What to Expect
Step 1
We examine the vessels, check for larger underlying veins, and review medications and sun exposure. Larger, bulging varicose veins belong with a vein specialist, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Step 2
For darker or tanned skin, we treat a small vessel first and check the skin's response.
Step 3
Each vessel is traced with short pulses. You feel a warm pinch with each pulse, and the vessel may darken or vanish on the spot. Sessions take about 15 to 30 minutes.
Step 4
Mild redness, swelling, or small bruises can appear and fade within days. Avoid hot baths, hard workouts, and sun for a day or two, and wear sunscreen on treated areas.
Safety and Skin Tone
The 1064 nm wavelength is absorbed less by melanin, which makes it a safer vascular choice across skin tones. Darker skin tones still get a test spot before a full session. Avoid tanning and self-tanner for two weeks before treatment.
Temporary darkening along a treated leg vein can occur and typically fades over weeks to months. Tell us about blood thinners, photosensitizing medications, a history of clotting problems, or pregnancy. This laser treats small surface vessels; larger varicose veins need a vascular evaluation first.
